i-Stop (Idle Stop System)
Shuts the engine off when you come to a stop and restarts as you release the brake. Mazda positions the pistons precisely so restart happens by combustion, cutting fuel use and vibration.

Rear Vehicle Monitoring (RVM)
Rear-bumper radar tracks vehicles in adjacent lanes and your blind spots. A mirror light warns when a car is alongside; signal a lane change and it adds an audible alert.

Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS)
Small motors swivel the headlights in the direction you steer. On dark or winding roads, the beam follows the curve so you can see further into the corner.
